Today we did some work, and then took a break.  Jer got up and did the other side of the picture frame and put the glass in the car so we could drop it off to get cut.

He also painted around the edges of the utility closet wall.  It needed some touch up since he remodeled the utility closet opening.

He rolled the paint on the wall around the fireplace and then he started painting the mantel!  I did do the laundry so you know I wasn't totally lazy.  I got to use the dryer after it was fixed from the terrible squeak it had when we brought it.  And the guy switched the door around too so that it opens toward the washer.  It was a pleasure to use.

I love to watch him paint because he's so focused on doing it right.  No hurry, just doing it right.  He got this far before we left to meet Lara and go to the temple.

The temple was great.  It's across town but with Lara driving it was easy for us.  We just sat and visited while she did all the work.

We went in hoping to make the 2 PM session, hurried to get dressed, and as we were dressing a sister came through the dressing room and asked if any of us wanted to get into the 2 o'clock session.  Lara said, YES!  and they held it for us.  How nice!  Last time we went there were maybe 4 people in the session, so we weren't expecting a crowd, but when we went in it was packed!  They had people sitting in folding chairs all the way up in the front.  We learned that missionaries are allowed to go every 6 weeks during a transfer time.  So we had maybe 50 missionaries in our session, elders and sisters.  Some of them looked so young.  And I'm sure they were.

Now we are home relaxing.  There's time tomorrow to finish painting.  And to get the glass cut.  The glass place was closed when we got back to Kingwood.  It was a lovely day.
