Lara texted yesterday to say they were ready to bring over the double bed that they are going to loan us while Sarah enjoys a loft bed.  So we were looking forward to getting it this afternoon.

In the morning Jer used a razor blade and cleaned all the paint drips off the hearth and cleaned it up nicely.  Then he put another coat of popcorn on the ceiling places that needed it. 

After that we started fixing up the little cabinet that I wanted to use as a bedside stand.  It's tall and has a drawer and a shelf but needs a top and drawer front.  

We will paint it when we get back in the winter.  I'm so happy to have it nice and tall like that!  

Then we read and rested and then we went shopping for dinner tomorrow.   We are going to have the Barneys come to dinner after church.  

After we got back they came and  we put together the bed frame.  It makes that room look more like a real bedroom waiting for guests!!  All we need is a mattress (that they will bring over later) and some guests. 

It was a nice relaxing day.
