Today was a very nice Sunday. We went to church at our
new ward, the first Sunday with a normal meeting schedule since the
first time we went was a ward conference and the next was a stake
conference that we didn't attend. We went to Lara's ward instead. So
today we finally were able to meet our new brothers and sisters in a
natural setting and they were wonderful. Everyone was very warm and
welcoming and natural. Just good people doing what they do. Relief
Society was interesting to me because at home it's hard to get the
sisters to comment or participate, but here it was easy for the teacher
with the lesson because there were so many sisters interested in the
lesson and making comments.
at noon we went home and rested and had lunch and then at
2 we went to Barneys to have dinner and hear the camping stories from
Sam and Jon. They had a real adventure over the past week and were
willing to share what they had done. Sam jumped off a 30 foot cliff
into the water and one of the other boys found a 6 foot black snake and
swung it around till it bit another boy. They had gone canoeing in
Missouri. What an adventure! They never did tip over their canoe.
That's an achievement.
It has been a really nice day.
