Thursday was another rough day and Susan did some thinking and determined what could be changed to make it better and that eased the pressure somewhat.

The middle of the morning Susan took the boys to the library to get a bagful of new books.  That's a special treat because they love to read and be read to.  They are allowed to take a certain number into their room and read while they settle down for the night. Robert doesn't actually read yet, but after hearing a book read he can look at the pictures and rethink the story for himself.  He thinks deeply and analyzes things.

When Alice got home from school we went out and raked the leaves that the YW and YM left in the back.  They had filled about 10 great big bags with the leaves and must have run out of bags.  We had one in the garage that was enough for what was left.  We had a good time out in the weather for a little while.  The day was not nearly as cold as it has been lately. James came out for a little while but wasn't interested in staying very long.
After we were all done Susan made hot chocolate for them and they warmed up with it.

While I have been here James hasn't had anything to do with me but this day he let me help him with something and has allowed me to interact with him more.  I guess it just takes a lot of time for him to decide new people are okay.   I read him some books and we looked at pictures of motorcycles and helicopters on the computer.  He thought that was pretty good.
