Sunday Bobby left early and Susan took the kids to church while I stayed home with Matthew. When she came home to nurse Matthew I went to the 11 AM sacrament meeting. When it was over I brought the kids home. For quiet time Susan said Robert and Alice could stay in the dining room and finish their projects if they would work quietly. They said that would be great so they got to stay there and finish. Robert is making letters for everyone at Thanksgiving and Alice is making a big turkey picture and place names for everyone.
Bobby made blackened salmon for dinner that was really good! I think we could use that recipe. When the kids noticed it was snowing they went out to play in it and were out there for about an hour working on all kinds of games and projects.
.
James went out for a little while but didn't stay long. Then they came in all wet and cold and played and played with their dad and mom and it was a great evening.
Saturday
We stayed home most of Saturday because it was really cold outside. I decided at one point to go to the store to buy some slippers because I didn't bring any from home. The kids all wanted to go with me so we loaded into the car and took off for WalMart. I got the directions wrong at first but after a call to the house I got on the right track and we made it fine. We looked all around in WalMart and saw all kinds of interesting tihings and then found the slippers. I got some that are toasty warm and we got some chapsticks for the kids and then we came home.
After quiet time Susan had a recipe that she wanted to try that is called masarepas. It's little round corn cakes with an awesome chicken avocado filling. They were delicious! The kids were really good about doing all their chores so they got to watch a movie! They took their baths and then watched Mr Peabody and Sherman. Then stories and to bed.
