well I finally got some decent bread made and took a loaf over to the poor little sorrowful, lonely widow next door.  And learned a lot.  She knows everyone in our little cul-de-sac and has friends all over town and is on the board of the committee that controls the condos as the financial secretary.  She goes several times a week to the community center and takes classes and has lunch with lots of people and goes on trips with them and is having a great time.  She is fixing up her condo and still has her house she hasn't emptied yet.  I had a great time visiting with her.  Her name is Marie.  She invited me to go with her and her friend to the community center for classes or walking or whatever.  I may.  The community center is just behind the library where I go twice a week to help out shelving books.

And then in the afternoon the neighbor upstairs, Angie, knocked on the door to tell me I had a package on the mat outside (my Nature's Sunshine order) and she came in for a couple hours and we had a great visit.   So I am doing my part to get acquainted with the neighbors.  I can do a lot more, granted, but there is progress!

I am working hard at indexing.  I have indexed over 11,000 points this month already.  I can do about 2,000 a day if I concentrate on it.

In other news, I made another step to becoming a true Texan today and bought some cowboy boots.  :o)  the amazing thing is that they are actually comfortable.

Jer worked long hours this week since it was a peak week.  People had their w2s and were coming in in bunches.  Next week should slow down and he will have a day off, hopefully.  He didn't have one this week.  But he didn't have to work Sunday.  I guess that was his day off.
