Okay, so that offer fell through and our friends bought another house so we are right back at the beginning again.  A couple other viewers have expressed interest but no more offers yet on that beautiful spacious house.  It needs a family with a couple teenagers to buy it who will want their own space downstairs.

In other news, Jer has been working heavy hours.  He's getting tired of it but I think he will stick it out through the season and be finished in April for good except for volunteering somewhere next year.  He enjoys doing the taxes but not the long hours and constrictions.

We are talking about taking trips and going fishing when he is done with work.  We plan a trip to Illinois the first of May to see Alice get baptized and we expect to go through Louisiana to maybe spend the night in New Orleans and also to visit the Tabasco factory somewhere in the state.  And we will travel through Memphis and have to ask Heidi where to go for that barbecue she and James were talking about.  Then we will see the Evanses and hang out a little.

Then the end of May we will be in Utah to see Grace graduate.  We will do some visiting and sight seeing along the way there and then come back here.  Hopefully we will have a house by then and be able to get it how we like it as time goes by.

But no living in the future!  I love being here and enjoy my life.  I spend the day doing indexing of obituaries, currently from Louisiana, and playing a little game on my tablet and reading books.  I have learned that I like Mary Roberts Rinehart and that there are lots of other interesting writers out there.  I have discovered some Amish stories that give the reader a glimpse into Amish life.  I have to explore that a little more because I get the idea that they don't believe some important things about Christ.  But we all know how someone else can explain another's religion badly.

This afternoon I'm going to meet Jer at Panda Express and have dinner with him and then attend Sarah Jane's basketball game.  It's as much fun as watching puppies wrestle.  :o)

  1. The BBQ place is called Corky's. It's fantastic! Get some wet ribs and some dry. They're both delicious and it's fun to compare.
