Jer has started work and is putting in 10 to 12 hour days. They expect a lot of people to come in this first week. Hopefully it will slow down so that he can come home at a decent hour soon.
I still go to the library every Tuesday and Thursday and put books away for a couple hours each time. And I read a lot and eat. I really really need a productive activity!! I went to the temple yesterday and had a wonderful experience. I hope to go more often. I didn't even get lost. :o) I think the man was surprised. I spent a couple hours in the car, but that beats Susan's trip to the temple, right? I also do indexing which is useful, but I need to get out amongst people. It has actually been cold and not a fun atmosphere to ride the bike or walk. But not as cold as Orem. The RS president here mentioned she would like to come visit me and that would be a fun thing, but she hasn't called or come. I asked to be a visiting teacher. Seems they would let me sub or something, maybe. I think I will suggest that next Sunday. Everyone at church is very friendly. We both really like this ward.
A few weeks ago my computer died and I had to have the hard drive wiped and this week Jer's hard drive failed. We attribute it to the flaky electricity here. It goes off for a few seconds maybe twice a week or so. Just enough to shock the computers. When I took in his computer I bought a battery back up device that we will plug the computers into when his comes back. With both computers wiped we no longer have Word on either one because we don't have the code for it. It's in our file cabinet in storage. {We hope} But we still have it on the laptop. Just need to get it hooked up to the printer for when we want to print out something.
We have had 13 showings of the Orem house lately. Got one really ridiculous offer that we didn't accept. Can't imagine what the potential buyer was thinking. When it sells we can look for a house here and finally get our things out of storage and get back all our information in the file cabinet. Who could guess we would need that Word information now?
We still are enjoying our little condo. It's a perfect size for us two. But we will want a yard and more space for visitors when we finally buy a house. I keep looking so that I know what is available in the area and what features I like and don't like. Jer says he can live in any house that has a garage and one level. It will be nice when we can start looking for real and begin to get really settled.
