This morning we called the people that want to buy our house and told them we have an offer coming in and wanted them to know so they could decide whether they wanted to do anything in that direction since we will have to respond to the people in 24 hours when the offer comes in.  They said they had already sold their house!!  Hadn't even put it on the market but a friend wanted it for her mother.  And she said their realtor said our house was way overpriced at $229,900.  She said it wouldn't be worth more than $195,000 or so.  And they hadn't even looked yet at other houses to make any kind of decision. 

I was sort of depressed so I talked to Heavenly Father about it and felt comforted and went on about my business and then we got a call from our realtor with the offer.  They offered $225,000 and said they still need to sell their house and we could keep ours on the market till they had the money.  But their offer is valid and we can count on it as much as you can count on any offer till it goes through.  That was so reassuring to me.  I felt validated and at peace about it all.  (We don't necessarily want to sell to these friends.  They love the house and yard and I love that but there's always a chance of something going wrong and us feeling guilty or responsible, etc.)  But it feels good to know that someone thinks the house is worth what we think it's worth.
