Over the weekend we had a great rain.  It made a lake in the golf course outside our back door.

It even got pretty close to the neighbor.  After the rain stopped it soaked in just fine, though.

Jer had Wednesday off, thank goodness.  He was able to relax a bit and not have to do anything.  We went to the temple in the morning and had a great experience there.  We did initiatories because we got there too late for the 9 o'clock session.  Then we had lunch later with Lara at Applebees.  It was really nice to get to visit and see what's going on with her family lately.

In the afternoon Jer chose to fix a few little things around here that were bothering him.  The dishwasher door has to be pushed over to one side so that it will close.  It was being blocked by a screw holding a little board across the top.  Jer took off the little board and the dishwasher closed just fine.  But it tipped out of the cabinet.  :o(  So he finally put the board back in and determined how to fix it right.  Next day off he will take care of it for good.  He also cleared a bathroom drain and replaced the plug.

He's working 10 hours today but only 6 and 6 and 5 the next 3 days.  He works on Sunday 12 to 5 so that the boss can have the day off.  We will attend the 9 AM sacrament meeting in Kingwood that Sunday.  In our building the 9 AM meeting is Spanish.

We are watching the emails that say people are looking at the house.  We have had 18 lookers so far.  The realtor thinks we will get the right one by the end of the month.  That would be nice.  The sister from our ward that wants the house called yesterday and said they are selling their house this month in spite of their plans earlier to wait till next year.  She still wants to talk about getting our house if it's available when she is ready.  We told her we would call her when we got an offer and she could have the first right of refusal.  I like that she loves the house and the yard.  She is crazy about the blackberries and the apples and the grapes.  And the house is so nice and big with that dining room and storage.  Anyway, we will see what happens.

In the meantime I am looking online at the houses around here.  There are some that we would like to look at if we were ready to buy.  We don't want to actually go looking till we have the money from the Orem house.  But it's smart, I think, to see what kinds of things are available for what prices.   It will be nice too to see what we can get for this condo.  There was one for sale similar to it but not as nice a couple months ago for a decent price and it's not for sale anymore, so we hope it sold for what they were asking.  What I'm saying is that we don't actually know how much we will have to put on another house.  Just have to have patience, right?

I feel so good today.  I don't know why.  I feel like I have come out from under a cloud; I have more energy and feel like doing things.   Feeling as I do I realize that I have been somewhat down the last while without any ambition to do anything.  I'm glad to learn that that's not my normal state, but an aberration and I can normally feel good and ambitious.
