Swim camp again for the kids and while they were happily engaged Susan rearranged her kitchen cabinets, cleaning out some shelves in the store room to make room for things in the kitchen that needed a place.  very satisfying morning.

Jer spent some time taking off the previous curtain rod supports to make room for the new curtain support Susan wants to put up.  It will be more child friendly.

Alice's tooth came out!  It was wiggly when we got here and then she forgot about it for a day or two and then at swim camp it came out!  She brought it home in an envelope and put it under her pillow and the tooth fairy brought her fifty cents and left her tooth!  During quiet time she also wrote a song to a spider:  I'm Scared, Who Can Blame Me?

James is talking more every day.  The words I have heard lately are come, bus, llelon for watermelon.

In the evening after dinner we went to a park and listened to a concert by the Crazy Johnny Band.  It was fun to sit on the grass and eat free popcorn and lemonade and enjoy the breezes and the community feeling.  The kids played on the toys for a little bit and then Alice got a paper to identify some trees in the park.  She and her dad found all of them.

On the way home Alice asked if she could sleep on the sofa tonight because the guinea pigs in her room were oinking too loud.  She is babysitting them for her neighbor who is on a trip for the summer.
She was told that it would be okay, she would sleep well and she did.  They got home after bedtime and they did sleep long and deeply.
