Okay, we had our first hurricane and it was named Bill.  It wasn't much of a hurricane; we had a lot of rain and about 30 seconds of wind in the early morning today.  But I'm not complaining!  Better that than that the trees in front blow over and destroy our bedroom, right?  But it did get the man out into the garage to finally organize everything.  He's been so busy getting other stuff ready and fixing things that he hasn't taken time to order the garage.  So when we decided that it would be smart to get the cars into the garage before the hurricane he got busy there--bought a bunch of hooks and decided where everything goes.  Now it's all orderly except for his carpentering/auto tools.  Today we will get a board to make a couple more shelves and then that will be taken care of too.

We did put the cars in the garage and they both fit nicely even with storage of items on both sides.  But I do have to angle the Subaru coming out of the garage on my side and I bent back the mirror coming out today.  :o(  But it sprang back and is fine now.  :o)  The man is trying to convince me that I should park on the other side now, but I think I can handle it.  I just have to do it once to remember, right?  Right?

One of the things that the man was doing before organizing the garage was digging a trench at the back of the garage so the water won't come in when it rains a lot.  He got it all done and it works great.  This is when he has the fan to blow away all the mosquitoes.  They were driving him crazy till the neighbor suggested the fan and it worked great.  He still has to take the trench down the driveway, but it gets the water away from the back of the garage already.

And today is the second day of my ESL class.  I survived the first day.  I taught pronunciation and almost ran out of material, but we did okay.  Today we will discuss the present perfect tense.  There were 8 people there last week.  We will see if they come back.
