The lady that made the offer on the condo was too demanding and Dad said, forget it!  So we accepted the second full price offer and they made no demands.  They are willing to take it as is and pay full price.  If that offer falls through we also have another offer in the wings.  What a party!!  Our realtor really knows her business.  I never would have asked that much, but it looks like we will eventually get it or near, depending on the appraisal.

We continue to put away and organize.  We have sold or given away a bunch of stuff to clear out the garage and the house of stuff we no longer need.  We brought it not knowing what kind of house we would end up with and now we know what we need and can dispose of the rest.  We came from 4 bedrooms and 4 baths.  One thing we need is a little more space to put the Christmas decorations and tree.  Don't want to put them in the garage for fear of critters and heat.  So Dad laid some boards in the attic and we have a nice little space to put more things.  We first cleaned out the things that were already there.  There was a big box with a pig collection in it.  :o)  We told the realtor and she communicated with the previous owners' realtor.  If they want it we are willing to part with it.  Anyway, Dad laid boards on the rafters and on the studs so there's a nice little storage place now clear of the asbestos.

This is the ladder leading to the attic.  Spiffy little folding thing that is convenient and sturdy.

                                                         Dad nailing on the boards.

Pretty hot up there too, but we think it will be a good place for those things.  I guess we will see.

This evening we went to the ward Crawfish Boil.  It was a balmy evening and very pleasant in the shade in the parking lot.  We visited with the Barneys and another couple that are very nice.  Everyone is so welcoming and friendly that we feel comfortably at home. We invited the neighbors who were nice when we were looking at the house and they don't like seafood.  But they were still friendly.  We asked the man if he would help us load the kitchen range from Orem into the truck to take to a lady that could use it and he was totally willing to help us out.  We'll have to invite them over for a barbecue sometime this summer.

We bought a gas log for the fireplace today and they will install it Monday.  And we  are looking into buying another cook top.  I was cleaning around the controls tonight and one of the knobs broke off at the stove level.  No fixing it.  It's original to the house.  Not a real surprise.  I was afraid they didn't make that size anymore, but they do and we will get it when we can.

Anyway, everything continues to go well here and we hope it does for you too.
