So the guy with the checkbook never showed that day or the next when they had an appointment for 10 am.  The realtor stayed there for an hour and a half with the lady and her mother who also loved the condo, by the way, and he never did come.  They called him and he was shopping at WalMart and then went to help a friend.  Hard to understand someone that will just ignore an appointment and leave people hanging like that.  So the lady that wants the place will work on getting him to see it.  Sounds kind of like he is a controller and wants them to wait on his timing or he doesn't really want to lend her the money.  She means to buy the condo and then fix up her flooded out place and sell it and repay her dad so he won't be out the money forever.  Jer isn't counting on them getting it so he isn't thinking about it anymore.  I am.

Jer went to the ESL class and came home willing to help me do it.  He said the teacher said to not concentrate on drilling them with grammar since they won't want to come back.  I have been feeling guilty about not doing more grammar so I feel much better about that now.  But I will still talk to the guy at our library and see if we can finish out August and then do literacy instead of ESL.  I would only have one person and would work with them exclusively teaching them to actually read instead of several people with varying needs and wants trying to learn English.  Jer said there were two people in his class that want to teach ESL in Kingwood so they would be happy to take over my class, it sounds like.  :o)

Yesterday I went to Sarah's mid-year birthday party.  Her birthday is in January and she always wants a swimming party so her parents decided to have it mid year for her.  She had six little girls come to swim and play and eat pizza and brownie bites and have fun together.  They played games and swam and had a great time together.

Lara and Jon got wet too so they could be comfortable in the warm day.  I sat and was hot but enjoyed the party anyway.  But I decided that I need a swimsuit I am willing to wear in public.  So I came home and ordered one.  I meant to make one like Susan's but I didn't want to take the time to do it and on Amazon this one was the same price that I would have paid for the stuff to make one like hers.

So we will see how it fits when it comes.  I may send it right back.  I'm sure I will look just like the model.  :o)

Jer is still working on the wall insert over the wet bar.  It looks really good of course.  This week we will take some YW to the temple for baptisms and maybe move furniture from the condo if the guy comes through.  We are still hoping to hear from the temple so we can get started serving there and today Jer was called to work in the cannery one day a week supervising the operation.  We can peanut butter.  :o)  I bet it smells good there.  Unlike the tuna cannery.  It's the only peanut butter cannery in the church.  There must be a peanut farm too somewhere where I was told they have their own special strain of peanuts.  It'll be interesting to see how they manage shelling, roasting, etc.

I finally got a dress for Stephanie's wedding.  I totally forgot about needing one, but Heather reminded me and Lara told me a good place to go.  I think this one will be fine.  It's shorter than I usually wear, but it's flattering everywhere else.  I had to order the right size so I hope it comes soon and fits the way it should.

I talked earlier about the 3 color crape myrtle in front of the house and got a picture of it.  You can't really tell from the picture, but there are white, pink and purple blossoms on it because it's really 3 little trees growing together.
