The kids picked out a card for Erin. They looked at a lot of them and decided the one they picked was the funniest so that was best for her. They all love their Aunt Erin.
Today after a delicious breakfast of waffles and strawberries and whipped cream that Bobby prepared Susan got a lunch together while Jer read stories to the boys and Alice practiced the piano and I got ready. They are babysitting a friend's dog for them and she wanted to play outside for a little bit.
Then we got in the car and went to a great place to play in the water. The weather was very pleasant. We drove through some beautiful farmland of cornfields and soybeans and clean cut yards around classic midwestern farm houses. And then we arrived at Homer Lake and a great playground for kids made of natural materials. There was a little waterfall that leads down to the lake and a sandpile and a spiderweb to climb in and a nature trail through tall trees and shrubs.
We had a very very nice day.
Cute pictures! I love the one of Dad reading to the boys. The park looked like fun, too.
