Why a Blog?

It was suggested that we start a blog so that family and friends could follow the progress of our journey toward setting up our winter home in Texas.  I thought it would be fun to document it all.  We will pack up and drive out on Monday, June 2, our 50th anniversary. We have been collecting furnishings for several months since we bought the condo in January of this year so believe we have most everything that will be needed when we get there.  Lara, our daughter that lives near the condo, has been incredibly helpful in doing all the things that were needed to get it set up for us.   We know there are several repairs that need to be made and we will need to change some things to suit our purposes, but we should have a lot of fun doing it all.

We will document our trip out and all the repairs and alterations that will be made so that those who are not there will be able to watch the progress and enjoy it all along with us.
